Kim Eng
Director of Athletics
M.A., Sport and Athletic Administration, Gonzaga University; B.S., Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Washington
Kim has been a Director of Athletics for over twenty years and has loved every minute of it. She joined EPS in 2018 when she saw an exciting opportunity that existed to help a very young and promising athletics program…wrestling with growing pains…in taking that next step and moving on to the next level. And what a fun ride it has been!
During her tenure, she has worked hard to increase athletic participation, raise the level of competitive excellence, and maintain an exceptional coaching staff (many of whom are EPS faculty!).
Kim is heavily involved with District 2 and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), currently serving as the SeaKing District 2 Board President as well as serving on the SeaKing District 2 Eligibility Committee. In addition, she has represented small private schools on the WIAA Post Season Committee and the WIAA State RPI Committee.
A lifelong competitive athlete in multiple sports, Kim is a tireless champion of sportsmanship and in promoting an athletic philosophy based on accessibility and participation, an appreciation for health and fitness, the importance of winning and losing gracefully, and the building of community through school pride and school spirit. Kim lives in Issaquah with her son (a member of the EPS Class of 2026!) and her husband Matt.
“The energy and passion around athletics is what drew me to EPS. It has been an incredible experience working with this amazing group of students, parents, coaches and faculty! GO EAGLES!!!”
