Santa Fe and the Colorful Southwest (8th)

Dates: 4/6-4/11
Location: Domestic
Price Range: $3,000
Theme: Arts & Culture
Faculty Contact: Mike Anderson

Join us as we explore the arts, food, and culture that make Santa Fe and the surrounding area unlike any other place in the US; it truly is part of the land of enchantment. We will immerse in the different cultures intersecting one another through ancient and modern times, bisected as well along religious and ethnic lines. We will explore museums, galleries, parks, and shops in old Sante Fe, and we will even take on the challenge of a New Mexico escape room.

The trip includes an extended day trip to Ghost Ranch for hiking, horseback riding, and easy soaking into the high-desert landscape.   We will see amazing art from the likes of Georgia O’Keefe and Ansel Adams, as well as a full range of Native American art from the Pueblo tribes.  We will also experience Native American cultures by visiting Bandelier National Monument and other destinations.  Along the journey, we enjoy eating a dynamic cornucopia of local food that makes Santa Fe one of the more eclectic cuisines in the United States.
