Accompanied

Dr. Kelly Moore ( Former Director of Counseling and Learning Support and parent of an EPS alumna) facilitates our parent education program, which is open to all EPS parents and guardians. In her 35 years working with adolescents and children, she identified that the best way to support our kids is to support the adults in their lives, and EPS is pleased to offer her programming to our community.

Year-long Parent Education: Accompanied for Caregivers
Accompanied for Caregivers is a transformative, bi-weekly class (running October 15th through April 22nd) rooted in relational science, mindfulness, and community support. Unlike traditional programs, it provides personalized, evidence-based tools to enrich your parent-child relationship. Prioritizing self-care, the program taps into your inherent wisdom, fostering a resourceful state for more profound connections with your children and others.

Benefits of the program include:

  • Enhances family emotional intelligence: Develops mindfulness, emotional regulation, and validation skills, strengthening connections and creating a calmer home.
  • Builds supportive community: Connects parents facing similar challenges, fostering belonging and shared experiences.
  • Empowers mindful parenting: Equips parents with techniques and perspectives to approach parenting as an art, promoting personal growth and improved relationships.
  • Cultivates resilience: Instills hope and motivation, helping parents develop thoughtful responses to challenges and difficult emotions.

Accompanied for Caregivers will be offered at 9:00 AM or 6:00 PM on Tuesdays as well as a Mandarin Chinese cohort facilitated by fluent speakers.

You can visit the Accompanied website to learn, but as an EPS parent, register here for complimentary access.
