Brooks Teevan

B.S., Communications, Northwestern University; MsEd, University of Pennsylvania, MFA, University of Minnesota 

Brooks joins the EPS community for the 2024-2025 academic year! Previously, she taught creative writing at the University of Minnesota, high school English in Chicago, and middle school literacy in Philadelphia. As an undergraduate at Northwestern University, Brooks studied writing and theatre before earning her master’s in education from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in fiction from the University of Minnesota. Brooks loves to read Marilynne Robinson, Lorrie Moore, Alice Munro, and Shakespeare. She lives in Ballard with her husband, two kids, and two guinea pigs. In her free time, Brooks is sailing, hiking, rock climbing, and traveling.
