Kara Duval-Fowler

Kara joined the Eastside Prep community in 2024, having taught middle and upper level mathematics in Washington and Indiana for five years prior. She is passionate about facilitating deep mathematical fluency, meaningful collaboration, and self confidence within her students. Outside of mathematics, she has also developed and taught curriculum surrounding US immigration history, labor history, climate change, sound physics, creating productive political dialogue, and more.

A Redmond native, Kara loves taking advantage of the incredible slopes and trails at our fingertips here in the PNW. When she isn’t teaching, Kara pursues her bevy of hobbies, which include classical singing, sewing, bridge, and dancing to funk music
