Krista is so excited to join Eastside Prep School and the community.  Krista worked the last fifteen years at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles as a chemistry teacher, Faculty Academic Committee Chair, AP Coordinator and Registrar, and Upper School Scheduler. She recently led Harvard-Westlake through a major change in the Upper School daily schedule and overhaul of curriculum with research-based teaching and learning practices. Krista is especially interested in Mind, Brain, Education (MBE) science which combines perspectives from neuroscience, psychology, and pedagogy that contribute to a better understanding of how students learn, and consequently, how we should teach. Krista enjoys family movie nights, hiking and sporting events in the Pacific Northwest, and weekend activities with her husband and four kids.
