Sam Foote
School Counselor
B.A, Health Sciences with an emphasis on Public Health, Gettysburg College; M.S.W., Community Centered Integrative Practice, University of Washington
Sam (she/they) will be joining the EPS counseling team with one main question in mind – how do we best support young people in building robust and healthy relationships with themselves, their peers, and their communities? With a Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Health Sciences from Gettysburg College, Sam has worked with young people in a variety of roles in the past several years. To name a few, these roles include garden educator, Boy Scout camp chef, behavioral specialist, group facilitator, and mentor. Sam holds a youth and healing centered philosophy that works to understand and celebrate all of our complex identities and experiences in order to build collective spaces of empathy and care. As a self-described “lounging enthusiast” you can often find Sam cozied up with a home-cooked meal and a short story collection or having a good laugh and conversation with her friends and beloved cat, Sugar.
