Michelle joined the EPS community in the 2018-2019 school year. She has dedicated her career to working with children and adolescents in the education setting. Prior to EPS, Michelle worked as a Clinical Counselor in San Diego and as a Behavioral Health Specialist in Hawaii. She completed all of the post-graduate requirements and exams to obtain her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both the states of Hawaii and California.
At EPS, Michelle’s experience and clinical knowledge are utilized to support student mental health across both Middle and Upper School divisions. In addition to individual and small group counseling sessions, Michelle facilitates the US Peer Mentoring program and works in partnership with faculty to deliver content focused on social and emotional well-being.
Originally from the North Shore of Oahu, Michelle has found Washington a beautiful place to call home. In her free time, Michelle enjoys most anything water related, hiking, iced lattes, and checking off destinations on her ever-growing travel list.
