Katie hails originally from New Orleans but has been a Seattle resident since 1997 and has been teaching at EPS since 2009. She loves teaching science to students in both divisions at Eastside Prep. “Having the opportunity to work with students again in the Upper School is so rewarding — to see the way our students grow and change in their time here is amazing.” Prior to teaching Katie worked as a fisheries biologist, which took her to such exotic locales as the middle of the Bering Sea. She will gladly talk to you about fishes all the livelong day. When she’s not geeking out on marine biology topics, Katie enjoys reading, building LEGO sets with her son, and in general spending time with her family.
